Biography of
Jane Girardot
A “native Californian”, I grew up living along the coastal areas of California and I have a deep appreciation for
nature and the beauty of the ocean. My passion for California beaches, tropical islands and the
colors of nature quickly became my primary subject matter, as well as my
inspiration. I truly enjoy capturing the elements of nature surrounding
the ocean in detailed realism in my paintings and photography.
I am a relative newcomer to the professional world of art, but like most
artists, I have been drawing and painting since I can remember. After
pursuing art in college, I quickly figured out that in order to support myself, I would need
to use these talents in a way that would make money. I became a
electronics design engineer and used my artistic talents to design
printed circuit boards for cell phones, computers and aeronautics.
Painting remained a passion but was relegated to hobby status when work
allowed. I now am finally able to focus on art full time and able to
dedicate all my creative energies to painting and photography. I reside
in San Diego with my husband and three children, two of which are now
out on their own.
